I am not a fan on Grant Cardone but I know he has a big following.

If he did not flash his lifestyle, talk loud, show off, talk big, ******** like there is no tomorrow he would not have that following.

But to his credit he had found a huge niche where all that stuff sells like hot cakes. So Id give him credit for that. Will I take investment advice or go into any business deal with him, for sure no.

So I guess it’s a catch-22 for the guy. He has to be flashy to get that following. Of course, the following might get smaller if as rumored he files for bankruptcy.

I was living in the first world of the first world aka Silicon Valley. Need I say more? Happy to. By January of 2012, home sales has picked up. I know I was an aggressive buyer at the time and competition had heated up for buyers. By April, open homes were crowded. This was in sharp contrast to Q4 2011.

@Matt Higgins

Disagree. It might slow us down but not stop us. This may last longer but not forever. Lower Manhattan was ravaged in 2001 after the WTC attacks. The whole area came back in a few years. 2008 pushed people into foreclosures but by 2012, it was a distant memory. The world has seen tsunamis, world wars and natural disasters, things have always normalized. To me being too dark right now is the exact opposite of the “brag bro posts” that used to crowd BP forums until recently claiming real estate world invasion and imply invincibility.

On top of all suggestions regarding mortgage freezes, You may want to see how the CARES act can help with unemployment benefits particularly in the hotel industry.

@Andrey Y.

You are 100% on point even though your message may come out as harsh especially on BP where the average investor is investing in tier 2/3/4 markets in Class B or C properties for cash flow. It 100% comes down to affordability. Most people can’t afford to play in big markets, they just can’t. That does not make the potential to invest in smaller markets less attractive. It stays attractive but for an investment class.

@Anand S.

Other hospitality and hotel companies are doing similar things but they are paying the property owners out of their pocket which means AirBnB should be paying homeowners directly for hosting First Responders. If AirBnB is simply looking to ride the PR coattails by not making any financial contribution to compensate homeowners, they are not doing right by them.

@Debora Joseph-Splatt

How does the employer match work in this scheme?

@Sienna Parker

1) Invest in yourself (gaining skills, broadening your network etc) such that you can take on more responsibilities and double and triple your pay over X years

2) I personally love retirement accounts and you have a terrific company match. I would only max that account and keep that going. No exceptions to that.

3) Make a solid budget that cuts our wasteful spending. That should be a contributor to your home CB down payment

4) Buy a home when the time is right. You may be more ready than you think.
