@Robb Werner thank you for your thoughts! That has been my plan. My goal is to get it all paid off and still own 1-2 properties by the end of the year.

@Joe Splitrock we bring home $9500 a month. Hello taxes in NY. But our total expenses right now amount to 4700. We live in a small 960sf house but I’ve been finishing engineering school at night and we pay that out of pocket. Our income was a bit lower when I started so that’s much of the reason that our cards took off the way they did. My husband also had student loans. We paid those off with the 10k we got in wedding gifts. It isn’t so much bad habits in my opinion but just trying to further our life.

My husband and I make $180k with ~780 credit scores and no student loans. We are young but have managed to acquire around 20k in CC debt. Should we work to pay this off before investing in multi units or should we jump right into real estate? We have around $5k a month to spend...
