@Johnathan Boyle, yea I was thinking of an FHA loan, but the thing is if I do buy a property through an FHA loan I'd have to live in the property for a certain amount of time, so that's why I'm not really sure if I should look out of state or far away, but yes ideally I would like to get an FHA Loam, already be pre approved and find a property that works for me.

@Natalie Schanne, woah thank you so much for the breakdown, but ultimately I do want to get involved in real estate, and I already have a bit of money in stocks under a Roth IRA (thanks graham stephan) but the ultimate goal I guess is financial freedom, so right now I want to get as many streams of income as I can while I'm still young and live at home with my parents but at the same time build wealth.

@Tanvir Sattar in your opinion should I stay in New York, within the five boroughs, with in mind how expensive it is here, or should I look out of state like New Jersey PA or even upstate?

Hey everyone! So I kind of know the basics of real estate, but a little background about myself is that i just turned 21 years old, I live in New York, and I have about 50k saved up and I want to get into real estate, I currently have a pretty good credit score, and my question is, should I buy a multi family property because I would like to move out but house hack but should I look into New York or should I branch out and look into PA, NJ, or upstate New York, considering I still live with my parents and just started to pay rent.
