Hi -

I use a broker here in Upstate NY and he shops around a lot for me to make sure my rentals have great protection at a good price. Happy to share his name but I am sure many brokers will shop around for you!

Hi all - I have 3 MTRS that I own and I am subletting my first to rent as a MTR. I told the homeowner I would carry renters insurance and my tenants will as well. But its been a problem for my insurance guy to find an underwriter who will do a commercial policy for a renter.

Does anyone have someone they can recommend? Thanks in advance!

You might also get requests from relocating faculty. I am finding people have all kinds of reasons for needing a MTR. And that it tends to be year round, not seasonal.

I have been using it for almost a year and my biggest frustration is the delay in the payout. It's never before the 6th of the month. Today is the 7th and I still haven't received my rents that were paid on 1/1/23.

Thank you all. It is a floating floor and the kitchen is where everyone comes in and out of the house so it sounds like it makes sense to do the flooring last. I appreciate your time!

I am having a kitchen renovation done which includes new cabinets and appliances, as well as a new LVP floor. Home Depot, who is doing the kitchen install, says to wait until after all the cabinets are installed to put in new flooring. My flooriing guy says the old cabinets should be removed and he should lay a complete floor before the cabinets are installed. I don't know enough yet so I am reaching out to the BP community to get your insights. Thank you in advance!
