hey Guys Thanks for the Reply. It helped me a lot. I guess i did not explain the situation clearly... The house has been on the market for about 5 months now.. i contacted owners agent and i gabed information from him, owner just bought year 2 years back and then got divorced the house has been empty for about 5 months have made payments, He listed the house for $ 158500 and he owes that much on the house. He already has notice from the sheriffs about the foreclosure. This is in midwest, and houses of same size are going for about 165000 in that area , I donot understand why nobody has grabed the house yet. but i think i will call their band try to place a offer of arround $135.

Hi this is the first time i am buying a house i like the house and before i could place a offer on house, i found out house is going through preforeclosure.
House was listed at $159500. Now i want to buy this house of a short sale..
What kind of offer should i put???? i mean 139500 etc or less or more???

If the property is is on mls and is sold as is foreclosure .. what kind of offer should be place one that kind property lets say property is being sold for 139000
