Hey Haakon,

Thank you for the heads up. Do you have any resources you can recommend?

Thank you.

Hey Derrick,

Thank you for responding, those are great questions.

Short term would be ideal with long term appreciation being the icing on the cake.

I think I would need to work with an investor, but I would be open to working on my own if the parameters were right.

Start by learning the market and running numbers to see what works. Portland is a hard market for cash flow.

Run numbers on a lot of places and learn what you can.

What is your home life situation.
Possibly owner occupy up to a 4 plex?

Hey Austin,

Thanks for the tips. I am curious to find out more about your process for learning the market. Do you have any resources in mind that you could recommend?

I live in a home already and have about 13 years left on my mortgage.

Hey Dahl, thank you for responding to my original post. I tried to modify my profile, but I am unable to do so without upgrading to pro. Am I missing something?

In an attempt to give you a better sense of who I am:

  • I have a mortgage on a single family residential that I live out of.
  • I have a mortgage I am paying on two gas stations.
  • I would prefer to find an investment that is a gas station. If I am unable to find something close by, I am willing to explore other opportunities.

What other information can I provide?

Thank you.

Hey guys,

I am looking for real estate investment opportunities. I would prefer opportunities close to Portland, Oregon. I am willing to venture away from Portland if the parameters are right. I have never purchased real estate before.

I have approximately 100k to invest with. I am not sure where to start. The amount of information available is overwhelming.
