I received a similar message through VRBO a couple of weeks ago. A second message came today suggesting it might be easier to chat via email:

How about we exchange information through email, so it would be easier?
You can provide your email by using this format:
example: [yourname]at[domain----------------].

Or provide a screenshot of your email address; it's more convenient.

We are looking forward to working with you and having you as one of our hosts in [state].
