Post: Commission splits in team

I just recently got my sales agent license and my father and I are looking to team up. He is already an agent with Remax. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to split commissions. I work part time a few days a week as a physical therapist and will be keeping that job while doing the real estate on the side. I will be responsible for more of the online presence of the team as well as showing houses and what not. My father has been in the industry for 15 years and has grown quite a following already. Is it fair to go 50/50? Or should we try and come up with a system where the person who does a majority of the work on a specific deal brings home more of the commission? I just don’t want to have any arguments with my father over money. Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks!
