Thanks Bruce!  Yeah I've done a little research and know that Austin is a bit tough to get into.  My thoughts where to look around San Marcos in order to rent properties to Texas State University students. Since this was my alma mater as well as being close enough to home without the highest influx of potential home buyers and investers as Austin, i figured this would be my best place to start.  Thanks for recommending the podcast. I'll check it out soon.

I am new to the real estate investing community.  I am looking to gain more knowledge about investing in multifamily homes that I can rent out to college students.  I am looking to start with an initial investment and potentially grow enough that I can live off of the cash flow generated from renting out the homes.
