Please Help!!!
We received a court paper that there is a claim against the previous owner as we bought with an LLC (partnership) located in New York City.
The fall incident happened in 07/2016 and We bought the property in 04/2017. But our LLC happens in the court paper.
I had my closing attorney send a letter to the plaintiff's attorney stating that has nothing to do with our LLC with supporting closing documents in 2019/2020.

However, we still receive court papers recently with our LLC in it. What are our responsibilities from a legal perspective? (the fall incident happened before our LLC took over the ownership) and what can we do about it?

Thank you.
