Post: We have a signed P&S but now sellers are looking to back out...

After 2 years of looking my partner and I found a 5 unit property and entered a P&S. 3 of the 5 units are occupied by the owners. This week the sellers agent reached out to us claiming that the the sellers "cannot find somewhere else to live". They asked if they could remain in the property and rent from us. For MORE REASONS THAN ONE our answer was NO!

I am now afraid that the deal is slowly falling apart. Has anyone run into this before? How binding is a standard P&S; can they be compelled to move?
