My name is Ryan and I am a 30 year old audiologist residing in Milwaukee. My wife and I purchased our first home together in July of 2017 in Bayview. It was an old house (as with most properties in Bayview) that was in rough shape. We had extensive renovations done to the property and moved into the house in December of 2017. We loved the process (although admittedly stressful at times) and could not be more happy with how the house turned out. As excited as I was with the finished product, I really got excited after getting the appraisal and seeing the power of forced appreciation. Furthermore, we have also started using our home as an Air BNB rental and have found it to be great way to make passive income. After going through the rehab process and starting with Air BNB rentals, I have become convinced I wanted to start investing in real estate.
We are partnering with a long time friend of mine and will be focusing on small multi-family properties to buy and hold. I am currently in the knowledge acquisition phase of this hopefully long and fruitful journey and will be looking to move on our first deal sometime in the next few months (assuming we find the right deal!). I look forward to using BP as a resource and hearing the success stories of other investors.
