Welcome!  I am a real estate newbie myself but am super anxious to get started.  I currently live in Plymouth Meeting but will be moving to Downingtown at the end of this year.  I would also like to invest in the surrounding area.  I too would love to meet you or anyone else in the area to talk shop.

@David Bokman that makes a lot of sense.  I didn't even think about how the seller may  look at it.

Access to the MLS was a big reason for me wanting to get my license.  But your right the chances of actually finding a deal on there in today's market probably isn't worth all the hassle of starting from scratch.  I am going to look more into finding off-market deals.

Thanks for the advice!

@David Bokman

I feel that I would most enjoy the BRRRR strategy and doing the majority of the rehab work myself. I just want to engross myself as much as possible in the world of real estate and I figure since I can become a realtor for free I should just do it. Also I will be looking for a house for myself in October of this year. I thought if I can find the house myself my realtor fee would pretty much cover my portion of the down payment so I am not loosing money I can be investing in rentals. At least that's the plan. Please let me know if you would still not suggest doing it.

As for the site I wasn't sure if there was a site/program that the majority of people used because it was known for being the best.

Hello BP Nation,

I am looking to become a real estate investor in Pennsylvania. I am currently in the learning/saving stage of the process. It just occurred to me that I can use my VA benefits from the military to pay for a real estate license. Do you have any suggestions of what company/website I should use to do this? It seems like many sites are advertising quick and easy courses designed to help you pass the tests. Are there any sites that will benefit me more than others? I want this to be a mega learning experience, I don't want to just barley pass a test.

Thanks in advance for the feedback!!
