Going to do that once they give me a call back! Just trying to play the situation out and see if others have had any issues with HUD in this issue..

Yes unfortunately, here, New York State does not issue licenses. The local and county municipalities don't require licenses for roofers either. 

The only license that is issued is for Electrical in this county and village.

I am in the process of getting a home via 203k Streamline/Limited. My lender says that the GC needs to provide a detailed scope/bid, insurance/bonding, resume and a LICENSE. I am simply looking to get the roof reshingled (not even sheathing work).

The home is in Orange County, NY where there is no license requirement on the county level. It is also within the Village of Woodbury where there is also no requirement for a license other than for Electrical / Plumbing. 

My contractor primarily works in NYC but does work in other county's that only require insurance/bonding/tax ID. 

How is he supposed to show/provide FHA with a license in a jurisdiction that does not give any out??
