I'd like to hear suggestions on my current situation. Currently I have $8k 401K Loan (4.25%), and $10k in Bank savings account, no other outstanding loans or credit card debt. My goal this year is to save $20k to invest in a Rental Property. Should I immediately pay of my 401K loan? or continue to save towards my goal?

Looking forward to hear everyone's suggestions. Thank you.

I have a question about getting approved on a conventional loan for an investment property. I plan on 20% down to fulfill the 80% LTV. I have a very low DTI ratio of sub 15%. However, my hold up is I have low reserves currently. I've read that some lenders require 6-12 months of reserves. Do you think my low DTI ratio is a strong enough compensation factor for not having a large amount of reserves?

I am from San Diego, and would love to attend this type of meeting/discussion. My topic of interest would be Out of State Investing and Syndication Multi-Family Properties, since that is exactly the situation me & 2 other partners are looking into.
