Hi All!

This is one of my first posts so bear with me...

I currently live in Newport Beach, CA but am relocating back to Charlotte, NC here shortly in the next ~ 2 months for various reasons. I have been listening intently to the BiggerPockets podcasts for the past 6 months now and have narrowed my focus to wholesaling in the past month. I'm currently reading books regarding estimating rehab costs, negotiation tactics, etc.. I am VERY eager to get started as soon as possible. As said before, I won't be in my more permanent location (where I want to invest) for a few months now so I was wondering if anyone had any advice on ways to get started now instead of waiting until I get to Charlotte.

For example, would it be smart to start a direct marketing campaign around $600-700/month or connect with a good closing agent in NC before I start direct mail marketing? I do have access to "boots on the ground" in this area (friends that would be willing to help) if I did find a good lead before moving out there.

Looking forward to what you all have to say, thank you for you time!

Ryan

Hello BiggerPockets Community,

My name is Ryan, I just turned 23 and I currently live in Newport Beach, CA (but moving to Charlotte, NC in the next few months). I have been listening to the BP podcasts religiously since March of this year on my hour commute to and from work, been lingering long enough on here and figured I'd finally write my first post. I think I have finally found the direction I want to focus on, which is the wonderful art of wholesaling! I look forward to interacting more with all of you on this forum.

Thanks!
