Nice to meet you! I was in the same predicament earlier this year and now with one. I'm starting the process over again with getting the down payments. I actually got my first from house hacking, are you familiar with that?

I have a SFR in the Portsmouth area. My goal is to get a second one by end of this year, but I was talking with some lenders I seen on BP and I have some work to do with getting the down payment for it. But I'm working on it! 😊

Hi BP, 

I am Roxie from Boston, MA but recently relocated to Hampton Roads, VA. This is a whole new experience for me. I mean really new. I am learning from the ground up, including real estate terminology. I find myself highlighting words and right clicking to search the meaning. It's been a bit overwhelming trying to learn everything, but it will become second nature. My goal is to get my first rental in a year from now. I'm not sure if that is to long but like I mentioned I am so new to this, I am probably way off with the time frame. My biggest hurdle or excuse that I have used is not having any money to start. But I am learning each day from BiggerPockets that that does not have stop me from pursuing my dreams and goals! I'm excited and ready to begin this new journey!
