@Anthon Ariño and @Dave Visaya Happy New Year! Originally from Siquijor and is currently investing in the island and in Dumaguete. My next big plan is to build some retirement/vacation homes in my beautiful island. Let's connect!

@Derrick Dill Happy New Year! Just saw this post 4 years later of course :) Anyway, I'm interested in finding out what happened to your project. Did you decide to build? It's a little different when you try to build something from the ground up and especially if you're not around regardless of which part of the world and @Andrew Ware has good points. Double or triple your budget unfortunately and that is because based on my experience some of the materials are substandard that the project manager would have to upgrade them for safety reasons (like rebar and cement quality). It could be done but I would really look into the legality and you ownership of the project before investing your money. You just need to find the right person to manage it on site and yes there are honest people in Antique!

Interested in learning more about this topic. We live in an acre property and the area has many senior facilities. I’m thinking of building a small independent living place. Any advice? Thanks

@Dillon Dale I also didn't go with the deal and will just wait for a buyer.

@Dillon Dale Thanks. I have a house on the market now for sale with lease option also. So, a 10K difference when you exercise the sale is not bad then, am I right? I based my price projection on Zillow. Not sure if I’m doing it right but I have no other tool I can use.

@Dillon Dale Hi Dillon - just wondering if you're willing to share the original asking price. Thanks!

@Kevin Lefeuvre I spoke to real estate agent here in Michigan and the agent said she can’t show houses because she is considered “non-essential “ - so, clearly that’s most visible impact. I have a house on the market for sale which I’m offering it also for “lease-purchase contract”.

My campground business however took a big hit with only 2 guests staying because they are afraid to travel back to Spain.

It’s not hyoed and being also in healthcare- I would say - it’s real! Be safe everyone.
