I talked with a mortgage rep from USSA and found out its a lender requirement about the 2 years experience as a landlord. From what he could find out about Ussa's requirements were that I could use the rental income toward my loan qualification if I had leases showing how much the rental income would be and 70% of the total rental income could be used toward qualifying for that loan.

Thanks .Would the V.A. allow me to just hire a property manager in place of me having experience?

Thanks, looking into meetups etc for investors. I just found out yesterday about needing landlord experience for a V.A. multi family loan which really burst my investment bubble but will forge ahead to find a partner. Thanks again.

Newbie investor from the New Haven CT area looking to network with like minded investors any anywhere in CT. I'm a military Veteran with a certificate of eligibility for a V.A.loan (no money done low rates or p.m.i. needed)with a credit score of 750. My problem is, in order to qualify for a VA multi family loan using the rental income toward income to qualify for the mortgage a person needs 2 years landlord or property manager experience ,which I don't have. So I'm looking to team up with someone who has the landlord /property manager experience . If you're interested let's network.

Hello, my name is Ron and I'm a Veteran and have my certificate of eligibility but what I don't have is 2 years of experience as a landlord for the rental income on a multi-family to be included as income toward getting a mortgage. I need a partnership.
