@Jerry Puckett We are currently pursuing all of the above mentioned methods to find deals. Most of are deals are coming from Direct mail, talking to wholesalers, talking to agents, and Driving for Dollars. I just like to ask questions like this to make sure I am up to date with any potential new ideas that we might be using right now. Thanks for the feedback.

@Michael Kovacs I am currently house hacking in Rahway which is next door to Clark. I think Rahway, Clark, some areas in Linden, Woodbridge are areas where you can house hack because they are close to the train and are in nice areas where rents will help you defend against taxes and home prices.

If you want more insight feel free to reach out.

@Anthony Interiano May be a bit tough to get recomendations for Contractors just because most of the good ones are busy all the time. A good way to start is by finding one really good contractor regardless of what they do and ask them for recomendations for other subs. The really good contractors only recommend really good contractors because they care about reputation. Hope this helps.

We hold a meeting once a month where we cover specific topics that people attending mentioned to us prior to the meet up. We also have a facebook group that gives everyone the agenda for the meet up and notes on previous meet ups. The FB group and the BP meet up name is Value Add Real Estate Investing Association. @Account Closed

hey @Jose Jusino if people are still investing in NJ, which they are it is still possible. It does make harder to find a deal when you have account for higher taxes and HM but as long as you work your numbers and it makes sense, it doesnt matter how much taxes and HM cost are.

Besides the more people that think its too hard to invest in Jersey because of taxes and using HM, the more deals for those who do not let it stop them.
