Hello, we are looking at a old home from 1900.It just came to the market. Its a large house that's in good shape needs some good cosmetic work that we will do later on. Its up for $65k in town (4rooms 2 baths 2300 sq ft)...outside vinyl , basement structure and roof look good. Only bad things i can see from it is there is a old coal Octopus furnace that's had a gas furnace added on to it (so the coal part is no long working) and there are some old cast iron pipes still in use in the house. The owner died and is up for sale by the owners daughter and the realtor said they wont spend any to fix anything. i was thinking of offering $55k for the house due to the old furnace and iron pipes. Would that be a good deal or to low? Thank for your input!
