I have had a recent bankruptcy after a divorce and an looking for a HML willing to lend in this instance. No real property was affected by the bankruptcy just unsecured debt. Even with the bankruptcy my score is still in the mid to high 600s.

Hi All 

I'm relocating from the northeast to north Florida in a few months and looking to start rei with some small flips. I'm looking for any advice on the markets there. 

I'm looking between Jacksonville, Gainesville, ocala and Daytona.  I know some contractors in Ocala so that seems to make some sense. 

Just looking for any insights or connections in these markets.

Thanks!  I've thought about other markets but I'm just not comfortable doing out of state or being to far from my projects. Maybe after the first few.

Thanks Jonathan. I know a few contractors in the ocala area personally but don't really want to live there. It's rather be near the coast but that's probably close enough to monitor projects. 

Hi All,

I'll try to keep this short and sweet. Looking to get into RE, just not sure of the right strategy. I'm in my early 50s. Selling my primary and relocating to NE Florida. I have around 70k to get started with and a government pension to live off. 

I have project management and re agent experience along with time so I keep coming back to flipping with an occasional brrr to build long term. Not into roommates so I think house hacking is out. 

I'm grateful for any thoughts. Just looking to validate my own thinking. Any connections in NE Florida also greatly appreciated!
