Post: RentRedi Updates Processor To Stripe: New TOS

I've been using RentRedi for a couple years and it's been great.  However, I just received a text alert that I must agree to their new Terms of Service by 10/7/24 to continue processing payments.  Seems like short notice.  Has anyone else looked into this and/or used Stripe?

Message from RentRedi:

"ACTION REQUIRED:

You must agree to the new terms and conditions to continue processing rent by October 7th.

I have read and accept the

Stripe Connected Account Agreement

Confirm

RentRedi is updating our payment processor to Stripe. There are no additional fees to your subscription. No other action is required at this time.

Please note this will not be an immediate change. Within the next 30 days, RentRedi will be migrating all payment accounts from Propay to Stripe. We will reach out once we migrate your accounts."

Congrats on your first rental @Dean Attali!  Welcome to the club!

$3000 sounds like a spot repair. If you need multiple spot repairs, you might want to check the cost for a trenchless replacement of the entire sewer line.

Another couple things I'd recommend for the future:

1. Hire an independent company to inspect the sewer...one that's not bidding the repair work.

2. If the sewer line is blocked...ask the seller to have the line cleaned and allow you to re-inspect. This isn't always possible depending on the seller (REO, HUD, etc).

Hi Andrea,

You may already have this info, but here's the site for the JoCo tax foreclosure sales: https://www.jocogov.org/dept/legal/tax-foreclosure...

There isn't one scheduled right now.

However, there are regular foreclosure auctions in JoCo as well.  Those occur much more frequently: http://www.jocosheriff.org/divisions-units/civil-c...

Hope this helps!

Welcome to BP,@Jamie England You're in the right place for learning about real estate investing.  I started investing after reading The Millionaire Real Estate Investor (this was before I found BP).  The best suggestion I have is to not get bogged down by the massive amount of information and opinions available online.  Learn the basics, of course, but also be sure to spend a good amount of time reflecting on and implementing the things you've learned.  Then, make a plan and take action!

Hello,

I'm a real estate agent looking for recommendations on a lender or mortgage broker in Kansas City with FHA 203(k) financing experience (i.e. someone who has successfully closed multiple transactions recently).

Interested in 203k or similar loan product (owner-occupied, non-REO, residential real estate, 5-10% down, comparable rates & fees).

If you are a lender or mortgage broker yourself with such experience, please feel free to message or call me.  Thanks!
