How's it going Stephanie? It's good to see some other members in the Bay with similar interests of out-of-state investing through multi-family properties. That is the approach I see best fit for my goals as well. If you don't mind me asking, what drew you to invest in the Kansas City market?

The first time I was on that island as a W2 consultant for Venture Commerce Center to develop condominium office buildings. The second time I came back as a real estate investor. My biz partner and I are Making Oakland Great Again by renovating rundown houses for profit. His dream is to upgrade to a house in Alameda in the next few years. He has a handful of buy-and-hold rentals in the East Bay and he just started about 1.5 years ago while I have a few handful buy-and-hope rentals in the South Bay, by I started a decade ago. We’re in the process of buying-and-praying rentals together in the East Bay. At the same time, we’re dabbling into new development.

If you’re up for lunch at the Sushi House on the island to share ideas, let us know. We don’t mind sharing how we evaluate and purchase our deals. Who knows, we may end up working together. He reached out to me over a year ago on BP. Next thing we know, he quit his job and is now on track to make 3-4x his six figure salary from last year.

He’s 30 years old and riding around in a Tesla Model X P100D. You should take it for a test drive. Then you will understand the joy of living your dreams rather than just day dreaming. Looking forward to connecting and thanks again for your service to our great country.

Good afternoon Bigger Pockets Nation!!!

This post is to finally and formally introduce myself to the BP world. For the past few months I have been avidly listening to the podcasts, reading "final four" book recommendations as fast as I can, and consuming the knowledge posted in these forums and decided it is time to come out of the shadows.

I am a recently licensed REALTOR® working with Genesis Real Estate here in California's Bay Area. While I would love to be doing real estate full-time, I am still active duty in the US Navy for the next couple years and can only commit to real estate as a part-time business venture. After 10 years of traveling with the world's greatest Navy I am finally fortunate enough to be assigned as the Director of Community Outreach representing Navy Recruiting for all of Northern California.

Like many of us in these forums, my family's end goal is to secure financial freedom through real estate investing. That being said, I aim to network with as many like-minded real estate professionals in this community as possible with the intent of adding just as much value to your businesses and lives as I know you will mine.
