Need a recommendation for a good handyman that will work in Galveston. They should be experienced and attentive to detail. This is for work on an 8-plex.

Thank you to all that responded.  It was quite an experience.  Learned a lot, and will definitely be back in a few months as my business gets going.  I will definitely have to study up on the due diligence required for both the tax deed side and the trustee foreclosure side of the auction house.  Seems like there were some good deals to be found...from my superficial and uneducated view anyway.

Forclosehouston.com does seem to be the one stop shop for getting the list of properties up to 3 weeks prior to auction day.  I was wondering if anyone had experience with them and would be willing to share (*ahem) some strategies.

I'm also unclear on what needs to happen after a purchase to clean up the title and ensure there are not other liens...  Is it best to do this through an attorney?

If anyone wants to go down next month, I'd be happy to go again.

Does anyone have access to the list of properties up for auction tomorrow (March 1st)?  Is there an inexpensive way to obtain this list?  I am a new investor and am looking to see how the auction works.

Thanks!

Well we put the offer in on Wednesday...kept nudging my realtor for news all through the weekend.  She finally responds today that they have accepted another offer.  Not to impressed by the response time or feedback with this realtor.  Doesn't sound like she had any idea what was going on on the other end.  Well...time to try another!   Any leads?

Hello!  I'm a new investor in NW Houston (Cypress) and am excited to get my RE investment business started.  I have lots of questions and am trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can.  I've got an offer in, and if it's accepted (oh my!), I hope I can turn it in to my first success.  If it's not accepted...NEXT.  Lot's of offers is my goal.

Thanks for reading!
