Rusty Pulliam continues the tradition of creativity and vision started by his father, Winston. A native of Asheville, Rusty earned his BS in Business Administration from Newberry College in South Carolina. After a brief banking career, Rusty joined Executive Realty as a developer/property manager in 1986. taking ownership of the company in 1993, Rusty became the firm’s Principal/President/CEO. In 1999, Rusty change executive Realty’s name to Pulliam Properties and moved the firm into its current corporate office at the Walden Ridge Professional Park. Under Rusty’s leadership, Pulliam properties has become Western North Carolina’s largest full-service commercial real estate firm. Pulliam Properties has developed many outstanding commercial, retail, office and industrial properties in Western North Carolina and has been instrumental in helping many major commercial companies to locate their facilities in the Asheville/Buncombe County area.
An accomplished athlete, Rusty was named Western North Carolina’s high school baseball player of the year in 1976 and was later inducted into the Montreat College Sports Hall of Fame in 2002.he is a licensed real estate broker in both North and South Carolina, has served as a member of the Board of Directors for the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, first citizens Bank, Ralph Sexton ministries, and the YMCA.
