@Ned Carey You're response is interesting, and has allowed me to see my position in a different perspective. From what I've seen most agents are older, and I honestly have just assumed that because I'm young, people will be hesitant to work with a 19 year old, putting their biggest investment in my hands.

But you made a great point, I'll have to work hard because I'm new, not just because I'm young. Thanks for advice.

I am a true beginner in real estate and would like know everything I can about my market area. I want to be an expert, but I am not sure where to start. I live in Toledo, Ohio and population is about 284,000, plus the surrounding suburbs. Also I'm looking to be an agent but I know there are so many people here with valuable knowledge that could help. Thanks.

Hello everyone I'm 19 years old and excited about a career as a Real Estate agent. I'll be taking classes this summer but I want to take the time I have now to gain every bit of information I can about this business. I know because of my age I'm going to have to work a lot harder if I want people to take me seriously.

Do you guys have any advice on what I should be studying now and how I can become an expert about my community. Thanks in advance.
