ok. I'll take that to heart.  My spider sense was tingling when I started looking at all the "necessary" add-ons.

Thanks Brandon. That really seems to sum up the Info/experience others report. That it is supposed to build up company credit but in the end doesn't seem to actually do much. I did find the site to get the number for free so at least that didn't cost anything. How did you get the lumber yard to report to them directly? Thanks, Rob S.

In addition to using bank loans and hard money, we've also approached people for private investments.  So for example offered 10% after 12 months if someone puts in $5,000.  This has been pretty straight forward so far.  We have a standard contract, utilize the money for a project and then pay it back in 12 months or sooner (like if a flip sells sooner than 12 months).  However, a recent investor demanded to know all kinds of information about the project such as: where all of our other financing was coming from, wanted a copy of the title, a copy of the rehab estimate, appraisal, and wanted collateral.  Now keep in mind this is in addition to an information packet about the property (history, location etc) and the Bigger Pockets flip analysis.  My business partner was flabbergasted.  He didn't feel that we should have to provide all of that information to an investor.  I understood that it's more than anyone's asked for but also understand $5k is a lot of money to some people.   What kinds of info do others on the site/in the biz typically provide to investors?  Thanks!

Hey Everyone, A business colleague recently suggested we look into Dun & Bradstreet.  I know Josh says it's a must, but reading articles online really seems to paint the process as unnecessary at best and a scam at worst.  What's the deal?  Is a DUNS number necessary but everything else a scam after that?  It looks like the DUNS is $229; is everyone paying that much for the number?  That's no small change for a startup business.  I would love some real feedback on people's experience with the company and the value of engaging them.  Doesn't your business just develop credit by taking out loans, credit cards etc?  Thanks everyone!

Hey Anna, I appreciate the honesty.  Apparently he's scoped it out both day and night and the neighborhood was pretty quiet.  I'll pass on your reservations though.

It's at 307 Wildwood Ave
