I wanted to know if anyone on here has a good contact for a civil engineer in the Central Ohio area.  I have a small project that needs an engineered sewer drawing for EPA approval. I've called and emailed a few places and haven't gotten a response.

If you know anyone let me know.

Thanks!

I recently called them about getting a new service line brought across the road to a house I’m renovating(never had gas). They told me they won’t get to me til spring. I may be looking for other options.

I have a property I’m looking to get annexed from county to city. Trying to find a good and responsive lawyer to help me out. Let me know who you guys trust and recommend. I’m located in Madison county/Franklin county.

Thanks

The property is just at the edge of town and never has been annexed into the city. I did speak to an official in the city about the possibility of annexing into the city. I need to investigate some more about the nearest sewer and water lines, and lawyer costs. So far the barn/building sounds like a better deal. Thanks for the tips on specifying the boundaries.

So I bought a single family house with a 2.1 acre lot.  The house sits on one end of the lot and there is 1.75 acres to the side of the house that is just grass with 400+ft road frontage.  I spoke with the county and they told me I basically need 3 acres to split the lot for building another house(1.5 acres for each lot). That was my initial plan after brrring the original house. After that idea was shot down I started thinking about putting a metal building on the land and renting a few larger indoor rv spaces. Technically I'm not supposed to put anything commercial on the land. Since its an outbuilding that would be associated with the house I think it would be ok.  Does anyone have any insight on this or have any other thoughts on possible options.

Post: Franklin County Sheriff Sales

Anyone know how the tax sales in the Franklin county sheriffs auction work?  I thought I read or heard that you were buying the lien and just collecting interest for a period until the tax was paid, or after a year or 2 you could assume the property.  I know other counties that it's yours once you've paid the tax and everything is through in court.

Thanks,

Thanks Mike.

The park is already established. It's a big metro park just buying up more land. I'm not sure what his motivation would be. He was a dentist so I'm not sure if money is motivation for him. The trust beneficiary option sounds interesting. I guess I should go talk to him some more about his plans and what he would like to see done with the property.
