Trying to figure out estimating closing cost and we have heard that you should estimate 1.5% of the sale price of the home.

When estimating closing costs at 1.5% does that include the taxes and home insurance for an impound account?

Besides looking at Zillow and the other real estate websites what do you use to find potential homes or properties for sale. I see some will show they are currently rented and that would be great to find a property with a tenant already in it.

Just wondering if there are some other sites that are better for finding real estate for investment.

This is a new adventure for my wife and I. We are really interested in getting started in real estate. We have both read and or listened to the Investing in real estate with no money down. We are excited and we will be asking question as they come along. Thanks for having us

I am wanting to look at purchasing some real estate in another state and don’t know the areas. I was wondering if there are some tools or way to see if the area you are wanting to purchase is a good area?  Good meaning crime and things like that.
