Hi @Gary Rubens!

I see you're from Sherman Oaks. Nice to meet you! I live in Valley Village, so we're not too far apart :).

I actually went to a turn-key company even and found out that Clarksville is a very well-rounded area with respect to the qualities a real-estate investor would seek, including variety in job industries, a growing and stable population, landlord friendly laws, and the affordability factor. There is also a military base out there, and so long as the U.S. doesn't go to war, I think there'd be stability. Of course, I still need a lot to research before I reach a decision to invest there, but that's why I'm here!

How'd you hear about Tennessee and, more specifically, Chattanooga?

@Dmitriy Fomichenko

Thank you very much for the advice! I've listened to a healthy amount of the podcasts so far and have set up my keyword notifications. I will continue to do so, as well as read the beginner's guide and connect with people in my area. Those are very insightful tips. (:

Hi BP Community!

My name is Robert and I'm new to the BP forums. Just wanted to introduce myself and apologize in advance for all of the questions I'll be asking y'all :).

A little bit about myself. I live in Los Angeles, California, and I'm an aspiring rental property investor. More specifically, I'm looking to invest in out-of-state properties, possibly through active investing OR via a reputable turn-key company. Currently, I'm researching the Clarksville, Tennessee and Little Rock, Arkansas areas. I intend to buy my first property by the end of 2019 (investment capital of approximately $25,000), so I still have some time to research those markets, as well as other markets.

In any case, I look forward to posting more in the forums and connecting with everyone!

Happy investing!
