Thanks @Nathan Waters, I appreciate it!

Welcome @Rogel Feliciano! I am new as well, but one thing I have learned is that, many of those big expensive training courses, often lead to telling you that you need MORE expensive training... I've heard stories where people pay an awful amount when it's all said and done. I haven't experienced this for myself, i've just heard stories. Good Luck!

Hello BP,

I guess I should have read the blog on how to introduce yourself before I go posting away. My name is Rob. I am a structural engineer living in Vancouver, Wa. My business partners and I have been spending that last several months studying, and preparing as much as we can to start actively investing in real estate.

Our goals, like many, are to become financially independent of our 9-5 jobs. Exiting the "Rat Race" is a huge goal, and we are looking to do this through both active and passive income. Our goal is to begin by rehabbing houses. As we begin to accrue more capital, we plan on looking into also utilizing passive investments, such as buying 4 plexes and working our way up.

Thank you BP for all and any advice, wisdom, etc.. I'd love to be of any help that I can here as wellI may not be an expert in investing, but I do know structures! let me know if I can help.

We are currently looking for a GC in the area. If anyone knows of one, or has any advice to share, I'd love to hear from you!

Thanks,

Rob

Hi BP,

My business partners and I are just about to get going with active investing, primarily in the vancouver/portland area. I look forward to learning from all you experienced cats, and hope to be able to offer what I/we have been learning as we get under way as well.

If anyone has any advice, and/or is in the portland area that know's of good general contractors, I'd love to hear any feed back that you guys might have, or any recommendations of who (and who not) to use.

Thanks,

Rob

Hello BP!

I am a new investor located in the Portland/Vancouver area. I've been keeping up with BP and have been doing a fare share of research this past 5 months. My business partners and I are are getting ready to launch and get going with purchasing property, with the plan to rehab and sell. We are however, still looking for a general contractor. I'm looking for anything from advice, to people you may know and recommend.

Thanks for your guys' input.

Rob
