I see where Douglas County temporarily suspended permits "effective until the Board approves a new ordinance intended to address ongoing issues concerning public health, safety and welfare in relation to the operation of VHRs in the County". I suppose it is a good sign that there is a lot of demand for STR in this area.

I can't find anything about Carson City proper though.... Does the east side of the mountain, in Carson City, have enough AirBNB demand to sustain a STR all year?

Is anyone doing short term rentals (AirBNB, VRBO) in Reno or Carson City, Nevada? I am trying to better understand the market demand, occupancy rates, seasonality of short term rental demand, nightly pricing ranges. I am currently evaluating some properties from out of state.
