@Corby Goade I have been making every attempt and getting the issue resolved. I contacted a roofer immediately. I even provided the roofers cell number to my tenant (language barrier for me) so that he can speak with him directly to set up times etc. The tenants issue was the roofer was taking to long to get there. Anyway, thanks for the response the issue had been resolved. All is good

@Aaron K. I pay for the repairs. Like I said I’ve been in constant contact with him, and I had the roofer call him (do to a language barrier) to explain the delay. He called me on Monday to say he had the rent. I advised him I would be there on Friday at 7. When I arrived he wasn’t home, and when I called he said he didn’t have the rent. Just seems weird. Seems like because the roofer didn’t get there when he thought he should he’s playing games. I was just wondering if anyone else had a situation like this and how they handled it. Thanks.

@Bob B. Agreed. The roofer spoke to the tenant and advised him he would be there during the week. He arrived late Friday afternoon. I wanted to use him because he does good work. I’ve never had any issues with the tenant paying his rent in the past. He told me he would be home and when I arrived he wasn’t. So, I called him and he said he didn’t have the rent...however on Monday he called and said he had it. I think he’s playing games. I was just wondering if anyone else had this happen and the best way to handle it. Thanks.

I recently ran into an issue with one of my tenants. Here is the issue. There is an issue with a minor roof leak. I contacted a repair man who was unable to get to the repair immediately so to being busy. I made contact with the Tenat to keep him appraised on how and when the repairs will take place however now the tenant is withholding the rent. I’m guessing he is withholding it because the issue has not been resolved yet. I was wondering if anyone else has had an issue like this? Thanks.
