Post: To buy or not to buy as a first home

I recently came across a studio apartment in the heart of downtown Kansas City, and uncertain if it's worth buying. The apartment comes with 1 parking space and looks pretty nice, but the thing that has me concerned is it's a mix of owners and renters. From what I can tell the rented apartments all go though one company, which has a few reviews (mostly old/negative). Kansas City's downtown is rapidly growing with lots of buildings being repurposed as lofts, condos, or apartments. My plan was holding the property for a few years until the repurposing slows. What do you think, BiggerPockets?
