Hello - Im an aspiring rental property investor.  One tip many people have given me is to connect with people in the local area who have done exactly what I'm trying to do, House hack my first property and continue building a portfolio of rental properties.  Please feel free to reach out or let me know if you have a connect in the area.

Hello everyone - I am curious about learning more on how to effectively finance for my first house hack.  I have around 10k saved up and just moved into a new appt.  Ill be splitting rent w my gf and we'll have  around $800/month each in fixed exp.  Does anyone have suggestions on how much to save, where to go for your first loan, things to avoid and certain things to look for.  Please reach out if you have any advice. Im open to scheduling zoom calls too to discuss practice deals and possible opportunities.

Hello!

I am currently in the process of learning how to analyze potential deals for house hacking (while looking to purchase my first house hack ever). I purchased Craig Curelops book The House Hacking Strategy and it did come with a house hacking calculator! One of my biggest fears when it comes to real estate investing is analyzing properties correctly. I know the importance of doing good math when it comes to real estate investing and I have never been good at math and I just want to make sure that I can do this on my own eventually and do it right.

Just putting this out there to see if anyone else has also struggled with this and any tips they have on getting better at house analyzations. Thanks in advance!

Hey Jimmy - Im in the same boat, a little intimidated and not sure where to make the first jump.  I also want to be good at analyzing deals before going to look at them so I know what to avoid.  If you have gotten any tips from anyone in the meantime or if anyone else has any, please feel free to reach out and connect with me. I want to build a presence here on bigger pockets.

Hello Everyone,
I just started listening to the BiggerPockets podcast about 2 weeks ago and have listened to the 10 most recent episodes.
I'm currently reading Brandon turner's, "The book on rental property investing."

Been hearing so many great things about this Forum and want to start connecting with people around the area and take any tips one might have.
For some background, I'm 22, located in Churchville, NY (Rochester Area), living in an Appt with my girlfriend, working a W-2 job making between 55-65,000 a year before tax. I have a keen interest in the opportunities rental properties offer and would love to start conversing about how to enter the real estate realm properly. Please don't hesitate to reach out, I'm very curious and want to get a jump start on this journey!
Really looking forward to meeting new people and developing lifelong connections.
