That's Green, one of the townships around Akron. Pretty nice place. Not what I think she's referring to, though.

That's what came up when I searched "5th Avenue Street". I'm guessing that's not it either. I saw a 5th St SW that's over near Kenmore area that might be more likely, which would more fit your description in your previous post, lol :)

If you are talking about around Arlington Road and 619/Turkeyfoot road, then I would think so. That's generally a nice looking area, and if you click on the Street View on Google Maps and walk up and down the street the houses look clean and like modern construction.

Seems to be the typical knee-jerk response. I told my dad I was getting back into REI and he said "Stupid move, son" lol. Now granted, my first multi-family home I had from 2004-2010 was a headache and I griped about it often. But, I am approaching this smarter this time around, having learned from experience.

From someone who lives and works around the Akron area, Firestone Park is a decent. I've done some work as a contractor over there and I have relatives living in that area. Areas around downtown can be shady, especially on the east side as well as the Kenmore area.

I just filed another single member LLC here in Ohio. It's $99 to the state, and then grabbed an EIN from the IRS so I could open a bank account for the LLC.

I will my own operating agreement. In Ohio I want even required to submit it anywhere.

I'm pretty excited to have stumbled across this site. So much to read. So much to learn. A Facebook ad took me over to Connected Investors where I registered for a free account and discovered their "Exactly How" podcast. Then, I decided to search for other real estate investing podcasts in my Android podcast app (CastBox) and Bigger Pockets was at the top of the list, with a HUGE backlog of listening material (330+ shows vs the other guys 10 or so).

I dabbled in real estate investing when I bought a 3 unit in 2004. I made some financial mistakes within the first few years and then the crash of 2008 happened, not only taxing my day job income (self-employed tile and marble craftsman) but hitting the tenants also. I let that property go in 2010 and was pretty scared away from investing after that, and in the years that followed focused on rebuilding my formerly very successful construction business.

Mission accomplished, and now I am going to get back into it. This time, I am older and wiser, am soaking up *current* REI information and have a plan in the works. I personally am looking to buy and hold, and one of the guys that works with me in my other company wants to BRRRR together with me. I just recently set up a separate LLC (for myself) and have been eyeing properties online with several of them bookmarked. Finding palatable financing will be my ticket.

I have and will have a lot of questions, but I'll drop those gradually if the sites search capabilities don't net me the answers I am looking for.

Sincerely,

- Bob
