Anyone in the Dallas, Texas area needing home staging please contact me. I have a colleague who is an absolutely fabulous artist, has a degree in Design/Merchandising who is just starting his home staging business.

If you have a property that is not showing well, been on the MLS way too long, not getting enough showing appointments, perhaps it is time to think about home staging. Home staging is an excellent way to show off your properties best assets while improving upon some not so good assets. Research shows that not only do staged properties show better and sell faster, these properties tend to sell for more than asking price.

Thanks Raymond! I got it down on the @name.

@Darron Stewart I have family in Florida who told me about tax liens there. Texas (and any other state where allowed) is definitely on the table. Taking baby steps though so will most likely stay local for now! ;-)

Thanks Paul for the information---I have already started watching some BP You Tube tutorials which are pretty fun. I have also read up on some BP wholesaling articles but the studying continues!

Thanks for the welcome Jacqueline--cute baby! :-)

@Bradley Benski

Thanks Bradley! Yes I plan to live in one unit and rent the other side. Thanks for the tip on Texas Foreclosures! I will definitely need to look into that and include it into my investment strategies. I was actually speaking of tax liens in other states, like Florida where I have family members.

Hello everyone! My name is Rafael Laureano and I live in Dallas, Texas. I decided to take a plunge and purchase my first income producing property after being a long time renter. My first purchase was a 100 year old duplex home in a historic district. Renovations will begin in the next week or so. I decided to join BiggerPockets because I saw it as a valuable tool to help take my real estate investing career to the next level. My short term goal for real estate is to start off with wholesaling in the Dallas area and purchasing tax liens. I would like to move from that into purchase/rehab and buy/hold. I look forward to being a part of this awesome community. ;-)
