I know that the recommendation would be just to go with an excel, but I feel like it might be a good idea to get started with a CRM to be organized since day 1. Any recommendations of free/low cost CRM's?

Quote from @Mike Dymski:

Right now, it is the least competitive it's been in a long time.  Most part time investors are on the sidelines and the pros are buying with cash...in many cases, with other people's cash.

Would you say the "competitiveness" has ups and downs with the markets? Or is the general trend that more people/institutions are getting into investing lately? Just

Is Real Estate investing becoming more competitive daily? Is RE investing become a hype that might saturate this investing market?

Any thoughts/insight?

I guess you would have access to the MLS, but very few investors Buy on the MLS because the deals are so overpriced. Also Buyer Agents get paid by the seller and will be glad to send you anything you want because they want to close more deals.

 What other platforms?

Real Estate is as broad as law and medicine.

The right course with the right mentor could benefit you.

You need to narrow your view to answer your question.

I'm probably leaning to a fix/flip or wholesale real estate strategy course so I can raise capital to then buy & hold.

What niche does he specialize in?

Currently not working in the real estate industry (I work in construction). Is it feasible to get a real estate license and is it worth it (in texas)? I understand it is a little complicated due to needing a broker (and basically you have to work for one to get 100% certified).

I understand that its not needed to invest, but my understanding is that if possible to have it, it gives you an upper hand on investing.

Is it worth taking a course? Am I better off my learning of off BP, youtube, reddit and books? The courses are usually expensive, and I see a lost of posts saying you are better off investing that money since people that attend these courses usually never actually invest. Any feedback
