Good stuff, good stuff! I was really worried all day long that I was going to be out of the game after getting the "get lost" from the bank. Same bank would kill to give me a 55K loan for a car... I'll keep looking and chugging along.

I was also a little nervous about asking my first question on BP, but pleasantly surprised at the response/ support.

Thanks for taking a moment to answer, I feel tons better! Thanks again to all!

Thanks for the info and the quick response... I was feeling like my ship was sank. I'll give BB&T a shot, ask a few more questions before I let them run my credit and bring my score down.

Joan and Imad,

Thanks to you both!!!

I recently applied for a $55,000 mortgage with multiple big name banks and was informed that they don't write mortgages for that amount. Is it possible to get approved for such a low mortgage or will the points always be too high if credit scores are below 740? Credit scores are 727 and 700 and gross monthly income is $17,500... Should I keep looking around or is it a lost cause? The investment property is in Florida.
