@Quincy Lockett I guess a lot of factors come into play such as debt to income ratio, credit score, all that stuff. I think I’m well prepared for that part but USAA just told me I should be fine for a triplex. Who did you get a loan with? I’m trying to shop around but I’m not sure who else to go to. I know navy federal doesn’t do anything more than a duplex and I’m looking for a 3 unit or 4 unit

@Quincy Lockett how exactly did you go about finding a deal like that? And prior to that were you a home owner? I’ve heard the va sometimes won’t give you a loan for extra units if you’ve never been a home owner

@Christopher Phillips @Matt Crusinberry okay so here’s the thing: I am over 10% disabled by the va’s standards, thus exempting me from the va funders fee. So what I am assuming is I can go into buying a triplex or duplex off the bat putting absolutely 0 down. Now I have about 15k+ cash right now and I am debating whether or not I should put some sort of down payment on the home. My plan is to live in it for a year and then move out and get another triplex or a duplex, maybe even a 4 unit. And so on and so on. I’m not exactly sure if this is allowed or not but it seems like a good plan to me. Idk what do you guys think? I’m looking to start buying soon. Once again thanks in advance guys!

@Dan Barli I live in the area and it is going through some gentrification and I have a solid foundation as far as contractors go.
