@John Delosreyes What a small world, chances are you met me at the gate while I was checking ID’s. Thank you for the input. The live-in flip did give good insight on the processes, but it’s not something I’d do again lol.

My name is Richard Heshmaty and I am originally from Fresno, CA, but I moved to Del Rio, TX when the Air Force told me to.  I served for six years as a Security Forces member.  I decided to stay in this area when I separated from the Air Force, because my wife is from here, but also because real estate is really affordable.  I have been a member of BiggerPockets for a few years, but never posted an introduction.  I have completed one rehab, but it wasn't a quick fix-and-flip.  My wife and I lived in the home for two years while rehabbing.  The mortgage payments were really inexpensive and it allowed us to complete repairs when we had the time since I was still active duty and my wife is a registered nurse in the local emergency room.  I recently acquired my Texas real estate license and plan to use any income I make to put into possible deals.  I look forward to connecting with the BiggerPockets community.  Thanks for taking the time to read my introduction!
