Hi Robb
I just saw your post and thought I might be able to be of some help (nice to see a fellow Englishman on BiggerPockets!).
I've got some flats in west London (Ealing) which I self-manage (actually from where I live in Bergen in Norway). 4 websites which I found were very helpful for learning more about UK property investment are:
1. www.thepropertyhub.net (similar to Real Pockets but UK based and on a much smaller scale).
Hope you find these useful - I'm sure that you will.
Please let me know if you would like any specific recommendations about resources to be found on these websites (podcasts, forums, articles, books etc.) or if I can be of any further help.
Interestingly, Southampton is one of the places that I've been considering for my next investment as the rental yields in London (and indeed large parts of South-East England) are now so low due to property prices being so high. Also, I remember being impressed with Southampton as a place to live when I worked there for a short period about 12 years ago. I understand that there has been quite a lot of development since then.
With kind regards,
Richard

Hi John, Brett and Kerry
I just wanted to say hi. I saw this thread as I'd set up an alert for the word "UK" as I've own some properties in London which I rent out (and manage myself from where I live in Bergen, Norway). I saw that Kerry had bought houses in the UK.
I had a quick look at Brett and Kerry's websites and John's YouTube channel and was very impressed with all of them. I'll certainly be having a more detailed look at them. I was particularly interested in the concept of a deferred sale on installment on Kerry's website. I was wondering whether this is very in the US as it is not very common in the UK?
(The military connections also caught my eye as back in the early to mid 90's I was in the Australian Army Reserve).
With kind regards,
Richard

Hi Natasha
I just posted a quick messaage to Roger (above) and thought I would wish you a quick Merry Christmas and Happy New Year too as you were one of the first people to welcome me to Real Pockets back in September.
Take care.
With kind regards,
Richard
P.S. You actually inspired me to become a bit more proficient with Excel. Thanks!

Hi Roger
I was just having a quick browse on Real Pockets and thought I would say a quick hello and wish you a Merry Christmas. I saw your website http://www.utleieleilighet.com/leie-leilighet/ and was definitely impressed by it (I think I read (nearly!) everything correctly - even with my not so great norsk!).
My plan over the next 2 years is to expand my current portfolio of 4 London flats by buying some more and running them as flat/house shares for the young professional market (which I do with 2 of the flats at the moment). As the portfoilo grows I might well be needing a website such as yours. Thanks for the inspiration and have a great Christmas and New Year.
With kind regards,
Richard
