Hey @Reuben Berman - I am here with @Jessie Dillon investing in Chicago but also live here.

The city has some great factors for investors such as:

1.  Very large number of old multi-family properties that need rehab

2.  Price points to purchase as low as $30k up to $3M.

Thank you Jonathan and Jessie. I appreciate your insights. I've been a bit tied up recently with my current job and family matters but hope to pick up the pace soon.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to BP and looking to get started investing. I'm originally from NY and now live outside of the country with my wife and 6 kids. I have a job in sales, but I'm looking for the famous financial freedom and so I want to move over to real estate investing. I'm considering Ohio, as my current job takes me on occasion to a bunch of cities (incl. Cincinnati and Columbus) so it seems like a good way to double up. I've been listening to BP podcasts and have been meeting with a mentor in home area. I hope to get started soon!

Hey Reuben, that is great the you are looking to get started in real estate. One of the easiest ways to create wealth without active management. I just read a published article today by the Columbus Dispatch that Franklin County home values are supposed to rise by 30-35% with re-appraisal. We have had nearly a 39% property value gain from 2019 to 2022 in the Columbus market.

Thank you Alfath. I appreciate it. If you can send me a link I would appreciate it.

Hi Reuben, I personally love Columbus Ohio and as someone who works with a lot of out of state investors - there's so many catalysts for why you should invest here. Specifically, there's job growth (Intel, Honda, Amazon, Nationwide, etc) and the population is growing (unlike Cleveland or Cincy). I really see Columbus Ohio as an extremely safe bet for the next 10-20 years. Plus, there's still so many positive cash flowing and 1% deals here in Columbus Ohio. As a local investor and agent here in Columbus, let me know if you have any questions or want to connect!

Thanks Jimmy. I noticed a previous post of yours where you spoke highly about Columbus. I'm excited to get started.

Thanks, Mike!
