Would anyone be able to help guide in the right direction in regards to building a good team of support? How many of you have your real estate license or use a real estate agent? If you use a real estate agent who do you use and how much does he help in finding properties to invest in? Do you have a contractor, attorney, accountant, handyman, & property manager that you would recommend in ABQ? This area is a big worry for me because I want to find people that will be an asset and help with the process of flipping and buying & holding. I am also interested in your guys thoughts on having a partner. I have a good friend that would bring skills to the table, but not sure if that is the way to go or not.

I will be of no help at this time in the game, but please let me know who you find so I have a good resource to use as I move forward.

David,

Thanks for the information! I definitely want to start attending REIA meetings. Right now I am really trying to digest as much information as possible and BiggerPockets seems to be a wealth of great information. I look forward to speaking with you in the future.

Hi my name is Rett Reidhead and I live in Albuquerque, NM. I am originally from AZ, but have lived in NM for the past 15 years. My background in real estate is minimal. I have owned two homes in my life and the first home we rented for a couple of years until we got frustrated with peoples lies, and damage to our home. We sold that home last year and currently reside in our second home.

I am an insurance agent that specializes in agricultural property & liability insurance in NM, AZ, CA, TX & KS. I have been working in this industry for the past 10 years.

My goals in real estate is to start small and go from there. I would like to invest in a single family residence that needs some TLC and then rent it until the market allows me to sell it for a profit. Hopefully renting will not be necessary and I can flip it immediately, but I am willing to be patient. Once the house sells I will take that money and reinvest into real estate and continue to build my real estate portfolio that way. I am excited to find this website and learn as much as I can before I take the plunge. I have purchased a number of books that was recommended by BiggerPockets.com and will be reading as fast as I can over the next little while. Any advise or help that I can receive along the process will be greatly appreciated.
