Hi, I'm Ken. I'm a former real estate investor with the goal of getting back into investing again. I'm currently living in Los Angeles.

Just to quickly tell you my horror story with RE investing....Back in 2006-2007, I had a terrible experience with a 4-plex investment I went in on with a couple of partners. All the things that could have went wrong with a property went wrong with this one and I had to manage it. My partners put up the money. I had the credit and had the mortgage in my name. Long story short, we pulled a good amount out of it after refinancing but couldn't sell it afterward. This left me with the debt and the need to file bankruptcy. So, that certainly did a number on me and I swore never to invest in real estate again. Obviously, I made some terrible mistakes that cost me dearly for the next few years but I'm bouncing back. Hopefully now I'll have the knowledge and courage to try it again.

Now after I've been working in property management, of all things, I'm feeling ready to get back into it. Not sure where to start and how I'm going to do it but I know I'll find some answers here.
