Thanks Michael,
Good to meet you as well. How would one get started in developing his own CRM? Did you hire the task out, or is it something I could teach myself? I will also have a look at the platforms you mentioned below. Is there much difficulty in gettin one platform then transitioning to another, or does the infothey tend to be pretty portable?

Hi BP. I am launching the website for my wholesaling business next week. I plan to direct mail in multiple markets through joint venture partnerships. I’m wondering what CRM tools are best for wholesaling. I understand that I can do much of the monitoring and tracking of follow up using excel spreadsheets. However, I have my aim of building the business in a systematizabal and scalable manner from the outset. For that reason I think it may be better to get the crm tool on the front end.
What are the pros and cons of starting with excel then switching to CRM tool? At what point did you make the switch, if you went this route?
Please advise. I am open to all feedback and coaching from experienced wholesalers. Looking forward to the discussion to follow.
Hello and good to meet you.
As for a CRM we developed our own.
I wanted a CRM with phones text email RVM websites all in one however it wasn’t available so I created it.
One touch dialing out of our CRM is awesome.
Home sellers seem to like the shortcode text feature. Let’s face it. Being able to text HOUSE to 818181 is cool.
We use to use infusionsoft and RingCentral and eztexting and mailchimp and services to try and get those services to communicate however it was expensive and didn’t work.
Happy house hunting

@Daniel Krantz Great success story! I am thinking about doing BRRR strategy this year as well. I am looking to buy a multi family in BK or BX to live in one unit for a year or so, then do it again. I would love to connect with you and pick your brain, as I have recently relocated to New York as well.

Thanks, George. I may have some questions for you about self directed IRAs, but I want to have a read through the site first to see what I can find out on my own.

Ceasar, I have actually decided to start the process of wholesaling in Charlotte, NC. I have a good friend who has lived there a while who I am going to partner with. I will handle the lead generation, while he will do the ground work, locally. I am planning to post a separate thread for advice, networking, etc, after I have gotten what I can get from the forums on the topic.
I am not ruling out one or the other of us getting our real estate license in the future, though.
In terms of areas, I would focus in the Bronx, and the further away areas of Brooklyn/Queens. As I am still far from the action, I really don't know neighborhoods yet. The process of learning the NY market begins now. What areas of the city are you focused on?

@Andrew Fredrickson, @Basit Siddiqi
Thanks for the advice, guys. I have decided I am going focus on wholesaling to generate cash. After I have accumulated some cash reserves, I am going to start buying distressed properties, fixing and holding.
I plan to go to meetups once I have relocated in order to network and increase my knowledge. I will see if there is any way that I can get involved in deals.
