Do you have a property that is being used as airBnB? Are you making cash flow from it even with the pandemic? What are some pros and cons involved with having an airBnB property?

Any Canadians here investing in real estate south of the border? Is it a risk with laws and bylaws in general?

I was looking at the market across from Windsor - some potential flips to be done in Detroit but I have no knowledge on what the first things are to look out for.

Any opinions and input welcome!

Thanks guys for the advice.  I have heard about the tenant issue in Barrie, tenants not holding up their end of the lease and problems that landlords have trying to evict them, so Barrie doesn't appeal to me as of now.
As a student, I've been a renter/tenant in Toronto and I think of my old landlords and the lease as an example of a positive experience and have taken points on what their terms were.

I have been looking in areas of the East end of Toronto, close to the 401 and have come across a townhouse with existing tenants willing to stay who are paying for utilities as well. I can see the risk in jumping in with both feet as the tenants may turn out to be wonderful or not so wonderful.

Hi everyone!
My name is Rekha, 22 years of age and I am a beginner in looking to invest in the real estate business. I have yet to purchase my first investment and I'm aiming to have that done within this year. I would appreciate all advice in getting started and tips to stay from financially draining my bank account, as I lack experience in this area.

I currently live just off the outskirts of Toronto, Ontario for 6 years now, but would like to mainly invest in Toronto as it is a growing city. I am mostly attracted to the buy and hold type of investments. I heard about BiggerPockets through the Real Estate in Your Twenties blog.

Looking forward to making new connections!
