My question really was rooted in the fact that I was told recently that investing in a short term rental in Orlando only really makes you money if you pay cash for the property as opposed to have it morgaged.  So we've changed our plans to look at renting out a property locally but we don't have enough cash to buy the property outright, so we would have. Margage on the property.  Wondering if that is still a sound investment, thanks.

Hey there, my wife and I are looking to invest in short term rentals in Orlando, I wondered if you used a property management company and if so, did you ever have any issues with them.  It seems like this can be a challenging aspect of owning a short term rental long distance.

Thanks very much John, you've confirmed what I've been hearing mire and mire of, a house is likely th way to go.  Do you happen to know of any reputable property management companies.  It seems like every one that I find has negative reviews linked to them.  Thanks again.
