I am looking for a few recommendations, thanks in advance!

Hey Rebecca,

There is a VA RENOVATION LOAN! It is a little nuanced but similar to the 203k FHA loan!

I have not used a VA RENO LOAN for any of my personal current VA LOANS nor have I lended to anyone yet but it is an option.

Another recommendation and sometimes easier option is to go VA and then utilize a local credit union or bank and see what kind of renovation loans they have to offer. Just another suggestion!

I don't know where you are looking at buying but I can get you in touch with someone who does loans like that!

Thank you so much for the ideas, I will look into those!

I am curious if anyone knows if there are VA loan options similar to the 203k FHA loan with money rolled in for home renovations?

Thanks!

Does anyone know if there are VA loan options similar to a 203k FHA loan that has money for renovations rolled in?

Thanks!

Quote from @Mary Smith:

@Rebecca Webbe We've been using Innago for years and have also been using them to screen applicants. I find the process very streamlined and it has helped us save a lot of time and money through the years. They use TransUnion for screening, so all screening reports come directly from them. They don't have a way to set a minimum credit score, because TransUnion actually has their own version of a credit score, called a resident score which is specific to tenants. We review each application as they come in and then check to see if they meet our screening criteria before we accept or reject them. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot me a message since I have lots of experience here!

I definitely appreciate the feedback! I will see if the software as a tutorial but I may take you up on your offer sometime. Have a nice weekend!

I am going to be a new landlord in the next several months and I want to make sure I have the right kind of insurance on my property. Any recommendations regarding landlord insurance?

I have started to play around with the software program Innago and see that they have tenant screening with options for criminal background, credit and eviction history. I am curious how people's experience have been with this program specific to screening. Does it allow you to set a minimum credit score, or is this just something I need to review on my own as applications come in? Thanks!
